Clovis AI Appoints Dr. Donald W. Hill as Medical Director to Lead RPM Initiatives
Daytona Beach, FL – August 25, 2025 – Clovis AI, an innovator in remote patient monitoring (RPM) technology, today announced the appointment of Dr. Donald W. Hill, MD, FACP, as Medical Director. Dr. Hill will guide the company’s RPM programs, focusing on both technical and clinical services, as Clovis AI launches its flagship Dr. Security Watch in the U.S. market.
Building on three years of intensive research and development, plus over two decades of expertise in vital signs monitoring and RPM, Clovis AI introduces the Dr. Security Watch—a versatile wearable device connecting via cellular networks or Bluetooth to a smartphone app. Capable of standalone cellular operation, it enables two-way video consultations with healthcare teams and securely uploads vital signs data to a HIPAA-compliant cloud platform, bypassing the need for apps or device pairing. The company’s comprehensive RPM rental program solution is provided to healthcare providers at no initial cost, supported through participation in CMS reimbursement programs.
Dr. Hill, who has contributed to the development of the Watch since 2022, brings a distinguished career in hematology and oncology. Board-certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, he holds licenses in 13 states and has authored 15 peer-reviewed publications on topics such as cancer treatment, thrombosis, and hemostasis. An accomplished clinician, Dr. Hill has held over 30 roles in clinical practice, research, and leadership across hospitals and oncology centers nationwide, including directorships at Maui Memorial Hospital and Kona Community Hospital. His expertise encompasses inpatient and outpatient care, including chemotherapy administration, diagnostic procedures, and management of complex hematologic disorders.
Dr. Hill’s accolades include Fellow of the American College of Physicians, America’s Top Oncologist Award, and America’s Most Compassionate Doctor Award. He has been an active member of organizations like the American Society of Clinical Oncology and has spoken at numerous medical conferences. Beyond medicine, he has published seven novels.
“Dr. Hill’s deep clinical insight and leadership will be instrumental as we expand access to advanced RPM tools,” said Victor Trani, CTO of Clovis AI. “His guidance ensures our platform not only meets regulatory standards but also delivers tangible value to providers and patients.”
Dr. Hill commented, “Joining Clovis AI at this exciting juncture allows me to advance innovative monitoring solutions that enhance patient outcomes and streamline care delivery. I’m eager to optimize our RPM framework for seamless CMS integration.”
